ARE YOU IN YET?

Right before the start of the 32nd LEN European Championships all ticket holders and the general public will find some important information right here. We kindly ask all attendants to carefully read through this information given here to avoid any unexpected and unwelcome surprises, so that the focus may remain on the sport.

Open Water Swimming

The historic Regattastrecke Grünau is the perfect place for hosting competitions for open water swimming during the 32nd LEN European Swimming Championships 2014. It is regarded as one of the most traditional venues in Berlin. Here, the 5, 10 and 25km competitions will be held.

ADMISSION AND COMPETITION TIMES

Admittance into the venue: 45 minutes before the start of the day’s first race

Please note, that times for admission and competition may change at short notice. Security checks might be in place. We therefore recommend to plan an early arrival at the venue. The venue will remain open up to approx. 60 minutes after end of competition.

OPENING

The first day of competition (Wednesday, 13/08/2014) will also feature the marching in of the participating nations as well as the official opening of this year’s European Swimming Championships in Berlin.

IMPORTANT: Please note, that during the summer months vast reconstruction works within the public transport system in Berlin will take place. Especially the Regionalbahn connection between Ostbahnhof and Friedrichstraße will be involved, which might affect visitors of the European Swimming Championships as well. You will find an overview about cancelled, blocked and detour connections as well as the duration of these interferences on the website of Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) and S-Bahn Berlin.

Tickets can booked online until one day prior to the respective event (additional fees might apply). Information about tickets and discounts are available here.

The box offices have the following opening hours:

14.08. (Th) 09:15 – 14:00 hrs 17.08. (Su) 08:00 – 14:00 hrs
15.08. (Fr) closed

IMPORTANT: Please note, that admission into the competition venue for reduced ticket holders is only granted after showing your valid proof of eligibility to the event staff on site.

Tickets will be scanned at the entry of the venue. If you wish to leave during the session and want to return at a later stage, please make sure to have your ticket scanned out when leaving the venue. Re-entry will only be allowed with previously checked-out tickets.

SYNCHRONISED SWIMMING

Get ready to be fascinated! Amazing routines and graceful motions will capture the audience in the Schwimm- und Sprunghalle im Europa-Sportpark (SSE) where the synchronised swimming competitions will be held.

Admittance into the venue: 45 minutes before the start of each session
Please note, that the competition venue will be cleared 45 minutes after the end of each session. Exception will be made on 13 August: The competition venue will stay open between the technical routine duet and the technical routine team.

Diving is a highly technical and compositional sport with a big acrobatic component. Power, speed and aesthetics all play an important part. Marvel at the divers’ perfected jumps and witness some amazing competitions.

SWIMMING

The Velodrom promises to be an amazing backdrop for the swimming competitions of 32nd LEN European Swimming Championships. It is one of the most impressive multipurpose arenas in Berlin and Germany.

Admittance into the venue: 60 minutes before the start of each preliminary session (heats) and 2 hours before the start of each finals session
Please note, that the competition venue will be cleared 60 minutes after the heats and after the finals respectively.

WARM-UP PROGRAM

Besides the top performances expected from of the European swimming sports elite and an unique atmosphere the competition site offers, one hour before the finals, a varied programme taking place directly on the pool deck. Be inspired by Berlin live acts, a breath of Copacabana, refreshing drinks and an internationally experienced hosts. Be part of it from the very beginning!
