Sports Highlights

In addition to the LEN European Swimming Championships Berlin hosts numerous national and international sport events, for example the German Swimming Nationals and the FINA/ARENA Swimming World Cup.

As a sports metropolis, Berlin has several unique venues such as the Olympic stadium, O2-World and the Max-Schmeling-Halle. Several top professional teams such as Hertha BSC (football), Berliner Eisbären (ice hockey) and Berlin Füchse (handball) are based here.
